Hey {{first name | there}},
On Tuesday 10th of February 2026, I was at the Bloomberg Europe HQ.Ā
I was there to chat with a Senior AI Engineer at Bloomberg. What did we talk about, you might ask?
Well, this engineer wanted to know more about how to grow his LinkedIn account to 3000 followers (his Q1 goal) and also speak at conferences.
Now think about it for a secondš¤.Ā
A Senior AI Engineer at the forefront of technology with AI working at a Fortune 500 company*, earning a top-tier global salary.Ā
Why do they need to grow their LinkedIn? Why do they need to speak at conferences?
The short answer is āBecause talent without visibility is invisibleā.
You must have seen AWS mass layoffs and heard news of several layoffs all over the world.Ā
With thousands of experienced engineers entering the Job market, any edge can determine the next offer they get.Ā
Letās do a quick analysis.
Imagine Engineer A and Engineer B, who are both Senior Engineers, were laid off from AWS this January. Engineer A and Engineer B have the same years of experience, tech stack, and expertise.Ā
But Engineer B has given 10 talks at industry-leading conferences and meetups like KubeCon, Container Days, and DevOps Days. They also have 5000 connections on LinkedIn and share actionable insights and advice that other engineers learn from.Ā
If you are a recruiter/hiring manager or CEO:
Who would you like to interview first?Ā
Who will you hire?Ā
Who will you give the best offer to?Ā
Think about that for a second.Ā
So NEVER SETTLE!!!!!
I hope this email fires you up!! Because that was my goal.Ā
See you in the next email, where I will tell you how you can speak at 6 conferences this 2026.
Thank you very much for joining the community.
I am committed to your growth, and as I said, if you put in the work, you will be shocked at 1 year from now.Ā
*Bloomberg is not a public Fortune 500 company because it is privately owned, but it has a valuation of approximately $22.5 billion, which puts it in that category.Ā
